Machinery shifting is rarely just a lift. A machine has to come off its foundation, get out of a building that was often built around it, travel, and then go back down onto a new base within the tolerance the machine needs to run. Getting it out is frequently the hardest part.
We look at the route first — door heights, turning space, floor loading, whether anything has to be dismantled to clear the opening. Then we plan the lift at both ends. Machinery Shifting — common questions
Can you move a machine out of a building with a narrow entrance?
Usually yes, but it depends on the opening. Send us the machine dimensions and a photo of the entrance and we'll tell you whether it clears, or what would need to come off first.
Do you also install the machine in its new position?
We set it down accurately on its new foundation. Final levelling, grouting, wiring and commissioning are normally done by your machine technician.
How long does shifting a machine take?
A single machine within one site is often a few hours. A full factory relocation is planned over several days, in a sequence agreed with you to keep downtime down.
